Ventilation Reports Released for Middle School

Our ongoing efforts to establish the strongest safety measures for our classrooms have included sweeping ventilation, filtration and indoor air system upgrades at every one of our school sites.

Our goals have been to follow the most up to date data on the transmission of COVID-19 to ensure indoor environments exceed safety recommendations, so that fresh air is replaced every 15 minutes and that our filtration capacity is significantly upgraded to make indoor transmission as difficult as possible.

In addition to our elementary reports posted here, full field tests of our systems have now been completed for Mission Hill and Branciforte Middle Schools. The results show that we have met all of our targets for indoor safety, and we are excited to be ready for our hybrid opening.

High School final reports for Harbor High, Santa Cruz High and Soquel High can also be found below. Most spaces met all of our targets for fresh air.  Those spaces that did not reach our targets for increased fresh air flow will have commercial grade HEPA Filters added to ensure safety.
